Buddhist monks gather in Montreal for Vesak celebrations
More than 50 Buddhist monks from around the world gathered in Montreal on Saturday to celebrate Visakha Puja, or Vesak, one of Buddhism’s holiest days. The event honoured the Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and death through prayer, offerings and meditation, while drawing diverse communities together.
