Film premiering at Montreal festival explores Afghanistan’s rich cultural heritage
Filmmaker Aisha Jamal’s latest work, The Theft, takes a look at the looting of archaeological sites across Afghanistan and how so many sculpted marbles from the 12th century wound up in western museums. The film premiers at the International Festival of Films on Art in Montreal.
