How Brazilians are celebrating Black history month in Montreal
A unique festival is celebrating Black History Month through the lens of the Afro-Brazilian community. The Maison de l’amitié, in Montreal’s Plateau-Mont-Royal neighborhood, is playing host to a number of activities highlighting Brazilian culture. Event organizer Renata Carmo explains why she was inspired to create this first edition of the Brazilian Black History Month festival.
