Global Gathering Highlights Innovation, Sustainability, and Collaboration Among Emerging Scientific Leaders

WENZHOU, China, October 25, 2025 — The Plenary Session of the 2025 World Young Scientist Summit (WYSS) convened today in Wenzhou, China. The event brought together nearly 800 representatives — including scientists, venture capitalists, and entrepreneurs — from 47 countries and regions, as well as over 70 international scientific and technological organizations.
During the Plenary Session, the 3rd Young Scientist Sustainable Development Goals Award was announced, followed by an award ceremony. This year’s laureates are Liu Yingjun (China), Mariangela Russo (Italy), Wolfgang Tress (Germany), and Wang Hui (China), recognized for their outstanding contributions to advancing sustainable development through scientific innovation.
The session also featured the release of two major reports — the Global Survey on the Growth and Development of Early-Career Young Scientists (2025) and the Research Report on the Global Distribution and Mobility of Young Scientists in the Field of Artificial Intelligence (2025). In addition, WYSS unveiled the “2035 Global Young Scientist Pioneers List” and launched the “World Young Scientist Entrepreneurship and Growth Support Program.”
Guided by the theme “Converging the World’s Talents, Creating a Better Future,” the WYSS remains committed to building an open and inclusive exchange platform, empowering young scientists to share ideas, learn from one another, pursue their ambitions, and realize their dreams. Now in its seventh edition, the Summit continues to foster global collaboration and innovation among the world’s emerging scientific leaders.
Throughout the main session period, eleven parallel sessions will be held, focusing on three key areas:
1. The development of future frontier technologies,
2. The growth and development of young scientists, and
3. The deep integration of scientific and technological innovation with industrial innovation.
In addition, the Summit will host the “UniversalGravitation π: Showcase and Exchange Event,” providing a vibrant platform for creative dialogue and interdisciplinary collaboration among young innovators worldwide.
