Quebec abortion pill prescriptions jump 80% as access barriers fall
The number of people taking the abortion pill in Quebec increased nearly 80 per cent in 2025 compared to 2024, according to statistics from the Quebec public health insurance board. Experts say the increase in prescriptions for the pill is good news, in part due to its safety and accessibility.
