Quebec police say fake truck inspection scheme linked to 2024 fatal crash
Quebec investigators say they uncovered a scheme involving the production of false mechanical inspections related to a semi-trailer that was involved in a fatal collision in 2024, in Vallée-Jonction, Que. Stephen Laskowski, president and CEO of the Canadian Trucking Alliance, said there is a “massive gap” in truck safety oversight.
