THE UNITED STATES MINORITY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, ANNOUNCES: “SANTO DOMINGO TO HOST IMPORTANT 2025 TRADE AND INVESTMENT SUMMIT”
March 9, 2025 Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic – The Dominican capital will become the epicenter of one of the region’s most important business gatherings when the fascinating Dominican Fiesta Hotel hosts the “Santo Domingo Trade and Investment Summit 2025” on March 26 and 29. The event is by invitation only and not open to the public.
The summit will bring together prominent business leaders from the United States, Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, Colombia, Argentina, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic, along with high-level public officials from the Dominican Republic, the United States, and Canada. The objective is to promote trade, investments, and strengthen business relationships between these nations.
During the two days of activities, investments as a priority for job creation within a framework of shared prosperity will be addressed as the central theme. This vision will be presented by top government authorities, including representatives from the Trump administration, the Secretary of Commerce, Economy, and Investments of Canada, as well as Dominican officials responsible for the economic sector.
According to Doug Mayorga, president of the Washington DC-based Minority Chamber of Commerce of the United States, organizer of the event, “this summit is not an academic meeting, but a purely business platform where the Minority Chamber of Commerce of the United States commits to connecting suitable suppliers and buyers to the opportunities represented by the nations in the region.”
More than 100 attendees are expected to participate and benefit from 14 specialized forums that will address current topics such as:
- Innovation and high technology
- Digital currency
- Exports and imports
- Legal security in investments
- Digital and cyber fraud
- Banking and finance
- Justice system in relation to foreign entrepreneurs
- Visas to the United States and Canada
- Philanthropic cooperation between nations
- The world of logistics and interoceanic canal zones
- Business health challenges and opportunities
- Financing by multilateral agencies and private entities
- The tourism industry
- Others in future agenda
A highlight of the event will be the recognition of the most distinguished entrepreneurs of the Americas for their continued contribution to the progress of the continent during the closing ceremony.
The summit will conclude with a high-level reception with the diplomatic corps accredited in the Dominican Republic, complemented by a tour of the colonial city and a concert of traditional Dominican music.
