U.S. MINORITY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE CONFIRMS PETER MILIAN AS RECIPIENT OF THE 2026 CORPORATE EXECUTIVE OF THE AMERICAS AWARD

A Miami Story of Leadership, Business Excellence and Humanitarian Service
MIAMI, FLORIDA — August 25, 2026 — The United States Minority Chamber of Commerce proudly announces the confirmed participation of Peter Milian, a lifelong Miami resident and respected corporate and community leader, as the recipient of the Chamber’s distinguished:

2026 CORPORATE EXECUTIVE OF THE AMERICAS AWARD 

Milian will receive the honor during the Chamber’s 32nd Leadership Gala of the Americas 2026, part of the institution’s 27th Anniversary Convention, on September 4, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Sheraton Miami Airport Hotel. 

“Recognizing an executive with Peter Milian’s record of achievement is a reflection of the extraordinary generation of Hispanic leaders who have helped shape South Florida and the United States,” said Doug Mayorga, President and Founder of the U.S. Minority Chamber of Commerce. “His career, his character and his humanitarian commitment make this recognition particularly meaningful.”

A MIAMI STORY OF SUCCESS AND SERVICE 

Peter Milian’s story is deeply connected to Miami.

His family arrived in the United States after fleeing Cuba following the Communist Revolution and ultimately made Miami their home. He graduated from Christopher Columbus High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Florida International University.

During his university years, Milian was actively involved in student leadership, including student government, student lobbying and the university’s Lecture Committee. He also participated in early efforts by FIU student leaders advocating for the creation of a law school at the university—an initiative that eventually became reality.

His professional career has spanned more than three decades in the outdoor advertising and media industry, establishing him as a respected corporate executive and community leader.

But his legacy extends beyond business.

Following the death of his father from cancer in 2014, Milian and his daughter, Victoria, founded Victory4Kids, an organization created to support children and families confronting life-threatening illnesses. What began as a personal response to loss became a mission of compassion, providing care packages and personal support to children and families in hospitals and at home.

Business achievement, civic leadership and compassion have become defining elements of Milian’s story.

THE 2026 LEADERSHIP GALA OF THE AMERICAS 

The Gala will be a private and intimate gathering recognizing a select group of 16 distinguished business, government, and professional leaders whose careers have contributed to a remarkable history of achievement in the United States.

The event is not open to the general public and will bring together prominent leaders from across South Florida’s economic and civic community.

The Chamber is also developing a broader initiative to recognize leaders in the communities surrounding its growing network of business and economic service centers. In September, the organization is scheduled to expand its presence with a new Business Hub in New Orleans.
