What we know about the deadly collision between an Air Canada plane from Montreal and a fire truck
Flight AC8646, which took off from Montreal Sunday night, collided with a fire truck at New York’s LaGuardia airport, severely damaging the front of the plane. Two pilots are dead and dozens of passengers have been taken to hospital. In an audio recording from air traffic control communications, controllers are heard ordering the vehicle to stop repeatedly right before the collision.
